There is no better way to feed your soul and gain a little recognition than entering a contest or attending a conference. Here are some great local ones that you should try to attend. It may seem expensive initially but the experience will be worth it, I promise.

Dallas Society of Visual Communicators Student Show

HOW Design Conference

This is a professional conference that also has student section. This is about as close as it gets to Oklahoma. Take advantage of it. Oh, and don’t forget that as a student you can attend for far cheaper than a professional. Like half of what it costs after school, plus save $200 if you register before March.
